Xanthan Gum is a high molecular weight polysaccharide. It is produced through the fermentation of a carbohydrate with xanthomonas campestris. Xanthan gum has a special molecular structure which provides many special characteristics in broad-based applications. It is used as a rheology modifier in aqueous systems and as a stabilizer for emulsions and suspensions. Its numerous areas of apllications cover a broad spectrum and range from the food industry to oil well drilling.
Function
Xanthan Gum is produced by fermentatin of carbohydrate with xanthanomonas compestris. It is used as stabilizer and thickener, suspending agent, bodying agent for foam enhancer in various applications like food, pet foods, personnel care, pharmacutical and industrial field, etc.
